Pricing Information

             Thanks you for inquiring about our photography services.  Please read all the enclosed information and hopefully it will answer any questions regarding our services.  However, if you should need any further information, please feel free to contact us.  The majority of our photography is shot on location as this is our specialty.  We prefer a natural setting where your child or family can relax and enjoy the experience.  We can suggest a location or would be happy to listen to your suggestions.  When planning your portrait session, we feel your choice of clothing is the most important element.  A general rule to remember: The Simpler The Better!!  We suggest casual clothing because a lot of our poses are on the ground or the floor if we are in the studio.  We have two portrait sessions to choose from and you will find those options and the pricing listed below.  I do not have packages because in the past when I have offered them, they never really fit what anyone wanted and we ended up adjusting them anyway.  Therefore, everything is on an ala carte basis except a few options.  If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Laura will be collecting a $350 deposit that will go towards the order when the customer picks up their proofs.

 Portrait Session 

                        Mini Sitting……………$75.00 

This session is at a public location that we suggest and takes approximately 20 – 30 minutes.  The photographer will take 15 shots.  This sitting is appropriate for adults, infants, or a single child.  This works great for christening gowns and/or the naked baby pictures.  Please keep in mind that children don’t last much longer than 20 minutes.  This can also be used when a special portrait is trying to be achieved, i.e. Baby in christening gown in the studio or a 4 year old portrait on the railroad tracks.  We don’t recommend this sitting for families with small children. 

                        Regular Sitting………$95.00 

This session is at a public location that we suggest and takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour.  The photographer will take 30 shots.  With this sitting we try to take various combinations i.e. families, mother and child, father and child, siblings, etc.  This sitting is necessary for children who are walking and very active, pets and combinations where capturing that special expression will be difficult.  There is also more opportunities to capture interaction shots (not looking at the camera) with this option.  If you like lots of choices this is the sitting for you. 

                        Large or Multiple families……$175.00

                        Sunday Sitting Fee……………$125.00  Except during October and November

Sitting @ client’s home or location that is atypical to where we normally shoot will be $125.00.  These are subject to change at the photographer’s discretion.

            Special Purchases:  With any purchase of three portraits of the same pose and same size, you will receive the fourth one FREE!  Must be same pose!  Example  3 5 X 7’s, you get the fourth one free!           

            All portraits 10 X 10 and larger will be mounted on maonite to protect the image and to prevent damage.  Prints 8 X 10 and smaller will be mounted on single weight mat board to promote longevity.  This is done regardless of whether you choose Impressions or Keepsake categories.  I will describe these categories in the information below.  Artwork can be added to other category, but must be requested by you before the print is printed!  There will be an additional charge for artwork and it is based on what the lab charges.   

             Impressions Portraits

            This level will be very similar to the proofs in your album.  Probably 90% of our work is ordered under this category because we try very hard to shoot the portraits at the best time of day and with the best equipment so that you won’t have to spend the extra money.  They will be sprayed with a luster spray for protection.  Overall color may be altered to correct skin tones if needed.  Special cropping is included.  Some portraits may be cropped vertical versus horizontal if desired and possible.  Also, ask about square cropping for something different. 

            Keepsake Portraits 

The Keepsake portrait is “hand” printed by trained lab technicians where certain areas of your portrait may be lightened or darkened for more detail.  The edges will be darkened for a vignette effect.  Your portrait will be sprayed and mounted just as with Impressions portrait.  I will only recommend this category if I feel it is necessary, again 90% of my portraits are printed in the Impressions category. 

            Artwork can be done to either category at an additional charge.  Also so that you know, a head can be changed from one portrait to another for a charge of $70.00.  this can be done in either category. 

            Turn Around Time

            Proofs should be ready in approximately 5 days.

            Portraits should be available in approximately 3 weeks. 

            The studio is not responsible for delays due to the laboratory which is beyond its control.  However, we do our best to insure that you receive the best possible service and quality.  Please be aware that artwork can add up to two weeks to the delivery time.  There are no guarantees for Christmas delivery for orders placed after December 1^st.  Also, delivery times may be longer due to increased volume.  But we will do our best. 

            Terms and Conditions 

            Fifty percent (50%) of the order is due at the time the order is placed.  Prices do not include sales tax (0.0625).

            Please note:  If your order is not placed within 2 weeks from the date of the pick up or delivery, you will be billed for the proofs and album at $350.00 plus tax.  This amount will be applied to your order when it is placed.  This is subject to special arrangements with the photographer or office manager if additional time is needed for viewing the proofs.

            The photographer will wait at the location of your appointment for 20 minutes after you scheduled time.  Upon that time you will need to reschedule and a $20.00 charge will be added to your invoice.  However, we urge you to be ON TIME as a courtesy to clients scheduled after you.

            The studio reserves the right to reproduce and/or publish these photographs and please be aware that they are copyrighted material.  The unlawful reproduction of these photographs in any form is subject to prosecution.
